Planning is the most important step in the design process. Here is a summary of the steps we typically take with our clients in order to launch a successful website.
Initial Consultation: We will meet over the phone or in person (if local) to discuss your website needs.
First Deposit: To begin the job, a 50% deposit is required.
Page Content: We will determine how many pages you will need and whether or not you have existing material to fill those pages. It is best to provide text in some sort of computerized format such as Microsoft Word or your existing website and this will speed up the process. CD’s and DVD’s and even portable thumb drives are all acceptable formats. You may also email the text data for your website. If however, you do not have any text online, you can provide hand written or printed material but that will slow down the process and may cost extra.
Artwork (jpg, png, gif, or tif format): The best possible method for providing graphics is to supply computer images (i.e jpg, png, gif, or tif). This will guarantee the highest quality picture for your website. If you do not have computer images — brochures, photographs, and other printed material will work too but often times a scanned image of printed material may result in a lesser quality image.
Template Approval: The first major milestone is the template design. New Ideas Unlimited will design a website template in preparation for text and pictures. You will be able to view the template in a staging/text area located on our server.
Construction and Completion of your website: Believe it or not, now comes the easy part. Your text and photographs will be arranged on each page. You will be able to view it remotely from any other computer with internet access. You can email of call in changes and corrections.
Website Optimization: Your website will be optimized in preparation for the search engines.
Final Sign-off and Last Deposit: When the website is completely ready to be launched, you will sign it off and give New Ideas Unlimited the final deposit.
Website Launch: After receiving the final payment, we will copy your website to the final hosting server. We will tweak any final modifications you may have as well.
Search Engine Submission: Once your website is up and running on the hosting server, your website will be submitted to the search engines.
